The complex started doing renovations and during this entire time have been completely unhelpful and have left half the unit basically unusable. The renovation was to add a washer and dryer in unit and originally was meant to be done in February of 2023. The project did not start until January of 2024, almost a full year after the projected timeline. Once the project started there was very poor communication of what work would be done and it was extremely disruptive to usage of the apartment.... Once renovations started the primary bedroom was reduced in size by 3 feet in width without warning, and the closet was completely demolished. This has left this space unusable and extremely cramped. The office consistently said the unit can continue to be occupied while construction is happening, however with workers in the apartment from 9-5 M-F for 6 weeks this has proven difficult. The work is extremely loud and you are not able to be in the primary bedroom during this work as much of it is happening in that room. The project was meant to take 4 weeks but due to lack of planning on DTNs part has stretched 6 weeks and is still not completed. They also are consistently moving furniture everyday while the work is happening, which has resulted in damages to 3 separate pieces of furniture in the apartment. When you try to get updates on the project the office has no idea what is going on and there are never any clear answers of what is happening. Overall this whole project has been terribly mismanaged.
Aside from this the complex doesn't fix anything unless they get reports from the city inspector that they have to. Regularly have to put in multiple requests to have maintenance completed, and often any "fixes" need to be repaired again soon. Highly unresponsive management when there are major problems i.e. water leak, refrigerator going out, etc. This place wasn't as bad in the past, however is going downhill.

I moved in in August of 2022, so I have been here for 4.5 months. The garbage disposal was broken before we got there, and I immediately noticed the smell of someone else's food. After 8 calls to the office, it took them 3 weeks and a written letter saying that mold had started to grow for the office to come and fix it. My apartment smelt like death the entire time, and I obviously couldn't use my sink. There was also a smell coming from the dishwasher, and you can see from the picture that it... has obviously never been clean or sanitized. On top of this, you do not get cold water here, only warm or boiling hot. This includes the shower. If I want cold water, I need to fill my Brita filter and refrigerate it. Not only that, but the water is always hazy and dirty looking. I have asked management multiple times to fix this issue and they wont. We also have an ant problem. There is no baseboards below some of the cabinets, so they are constantly in my kitchen no matter how clean I keep it. I have made multiple maintenance requests, and nothing has been done about it in 4 months.
That covers everything in the kitchen, so lets talk about the bathroom. There is a smell. There are mildew spots everywhere and the vinyl flooring is peeling off in multiple places. It hasn't been renovated since the 70s, and I feel like most prison bathrooms are nicer. My shower was full of hair and soap stains when I moved in.
On top of all of this, the office is not helpful at all. No one is on the same page over there. I've been told I was getting a key to the gym since I moved in and have asked about it multiple times, but still no key. The pool is never open.
Here's the real kicker: Even with all of these issues, they had the nerve to ask me to re-sign next year with a $150 increase to monthly rent. You couldn't PAY ME to live here again. My apartment is disgusting, the office doesn't care about residents, and I highly recommend living somewhere else if you are looking to live here.

1. not safe
2. property has managing issues (manager especially, rude and unpleasant)
3. did not have maintenance crew
4. After 6 months of moving in, heat went out 6 times (including on Christmas), bath tub leak was never fixed, dishwasher does not dry.
Doesn't matter how many tickets you created, it will be marked complete and still broken.

We regret to hear you do not recommend living at our community and would like to clarify a few details - our community does feature a full maintenance team with additional local support of other teams as needed.
When you first brought the heat... issue to our attention, we did update to let you know that boilers would not come on until after the temps consistently dropped below 74 degrees. Once colder temperatures arrived, we addressed a mechanical issue to ensure heat was working well and hoped the heater we provided during that maintenance period would be helpful.
We also understand you entered multiple work orders regarding the issue, we do dismiss duplicate work orders and continue to work toward a resolution with our original work order (with added notes as needed/updates).
Please contact the leasing office if there are current issues that we don't have work orders for, we are hopeful to elevate your experience moving forward and hope the information we have provided has been helpful.

The Abbott Pointe community is a place that you can smell weed everywhere, the smoking is coming to your unit easily and almost whole day and night your apartment smells weed strongly and it has very bad effect on your health, studying and work. The property manager does not do anything to resolve this problem. They tell you they can just send a notice without further action and smokers keep smoking weed. AVOID THIS PLACE!

Steer clear of this place as the staff seem keen on either avoid or blowing up any issues you run into. Ex: my fridge (that they provide) went out and I sent a request via the online portal but didn't receive any word or visit from maintenance. After a day and a half, I went into the office, but even then they said no one could come fix it till the next day. All that food and cleanup time wasted. Honestly, all DTN locations are just poor. They say they check on who they allow to live there, but... man this place has some unique tenants.
Also, not this place's fault, but if you take the bus in the morning to MSU, there are times when the bus will skip you entirely as it's too full from previous stops on the way. You can easily miss class if you need a bus at a specific time.
